Warriors on Horseback: 12 Strong (2018) is a Story of Bravery and Heroism

12 Strong is a war movie that tells the true story of a group of U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers who are sent to Afghanistan in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. The film follows the soldiers, led by Captain Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth), as they join forces with an Afghan warlord and his soldiers to fight against the Taliban.

Chris Hemsworth delivers an decent performance as Captain Mitch Nelson, portraying the character's bravery and leadership with convincing ease. The rest of the cast, which includes Michael Shannon, Michael Peña, and Trevante Rhodes, also do a fantastic job of bringing their characters to life, making them feel like real soldiers with real stakes in the conflict.

The film's action scenes are intense and visceral, with plenty of explosions and gunfire. The use of practical effects and real locations adds a level of authenticity to the film. One thing I appreciate is the portrayal of the Afghan people and culture. Rather than simply painting them as villains or victims, 12 Strong makes an effort to show the complexities of the conflict and the different perspectives of those involved. This adds a level of depth to the film and helps you understand the difficult decisions and sacrifices made by both the American soldiers and their Afghan allies.

12 Strong is an emotionally charged war movie that honors the bravery and sacrifices of those who fought in the early days of the War on Terror. It's a well-crafted film with good performances and intense action, giving you an insight on the book about the Horse Soldiers.

I rate it 3 out of 5.
