13 Sins (2014): A Twisted Game of Morality and Money

"13 Sins" is a thriller movie directed by Daniel Stamm - It tells the story of a man named Elliot (Mark Webber) who is struggling to make ends meet and has just been fired from his job. Things take a turn when he receives a mysterious phone call offering him a chance to win a large sum of money by completing 13 tasks, each more challenging and morally questionable than the last.

The movie is an intense and disturbing psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. Mark Webber delivers a nice performance as Elliot, portraying his character's descent into darkness and moral ambiguity convincingly. The film's premise is intriguing, and the challenges presented to Elliot are genuinely disturbing and thought-provoking.

The movie's direction and cinematography are good, and the pacing of the film is well matched, with each task becoming more and more harrowing as the film progresses. The supporting cast, including Ron Perlman as the mysterious caller and Rutina Wesley as Elliot's girlfriend, also deliver decent performances.

One potential downside to the film is that some of the challenges Elliot faces become too intense for no explained reasons. Additionally, the ending - well, let's just say it would either be a 'wow' or a 'what?'.

Overall, "13 Sins" is a well-crafted and gripping thriller for those who can handle its intense and disturbing content. Definite watch.
